I have a penchant, or perhaps an obsession, for shooting old, decaying things. Especially abandoned buildings, old doors or portals, cars and sheds. I think they hold a particular mystery and I always wonder about their story. I am also drawn by the texture and colour of these 'treasures'. Give me a bit of old timber with the paint peeling to reveal the natural hue and texture and I'm there. Show me that rusty old door fitting and I'm shooting in nice and close to reveal the beautiful colour and texture your naked eye probably overlooked. I guess I really do believe that everything is beautiful in its own way......
